Australian Reps

Queensland has a long and proud history of developing players that have gone onto represent Australia.  Our first Australian Rep Player was Peter Monster, who played in Australia’s first International match against New Zealand in 1971.

The lists are incomplete as I am still searching for archive material.  The main lists that are incomplete are Senior Women Indoor, Junior Men and Women Indoor and Youth Men and Women Indoor.  All he Beach lists are up to date thanks to the BVB Database at www.bvbinfo.com and the Senior Indoor Men is close to complete, as their is a complete database of games reorded at the AIS.  As for the other teams, namely the Senior Women, Junior and Youth Men and Women, the searh continues.  There is also a archive record each team that has represented Australia at International competitions, Senior, Junior and Youth levels at volleyballarchive.wordpress.com.

If you have any information that you would like to add to any of these list, please leave a comment on the page you have information for or alternatively you can email me directly qldvolleyballhistory [at] hotmail.com

What about Beach Volleyball reps for these categories?

Is that just ones that have been AVF selected or would you be including the many that did it of their own backs to go and play internationally…..there are plenty out there……history should always include the pioneers who lead the way
